Escape Room FAQ's
If you’ve never done an escape room before, you probably have questions. And if you have done one before, you probably have more questions. Either way, you’re in good hands. Exit 4 Escape Rooms is tucked right inside a shopping center at 2820 S Alma School Rd #16 in Chandler, AZ — easy to find, easy to park, and genuinely one of the most fun things you can do on any night of the week in the Phoenix metro area. Here’s everything you need to know before you show up.
What is an escape room?
You and your group walk into a themed room and have 60 minutes to solve puzzles and complete the mission. It’s hands-on, it’s fast, and it gets competitive fast. Exit 4 in Chandler has multiple rooms, each with its own story and challenge level.
Am I actually locked in a room?
No. The door is never locked. You can walk out any time you want. The challenge is solving the room — not surviving it.
Someone in my group is claustrophobic (totally not me, asking for a friend), will they freak out?
You’ll be fine. No crawlspaces, no tight corners, no locked doors. Plenty of our guests are claustrophobic and they have a great time. If it ever feels like too much, you step out. Simple.
Do I have to make a reservation online or can we just walk in?
Yes — please book ahead. Walk-ins might work out, but they might not. Two minutes online at exit4escape.com/chandler-az guarantees your room, your time, your experience.
Can I make a reservation without paying up front and pay on arrival?
The room minimum is due at the time of booking. If your group grows, you can cover the difference in cash or card when you arrive to our facility.
How much does it cost?
$38 per person plus tax.
How long does it last?
Plan on about 90 minutes total. That’s 15 minutes to check in, 60 minutes in the room, and 15 minutes after for photos and debrief. It’s a perfect evening out without killing your whole night.
Do you have any Groupon or Living Social deals?
Nope. Just use SAVE2 at checkout. It’s faster and easier than Groupon anyway.
Can I bring more than 10 people for my reservation?
Max is 12. Just know that more people usually means the puzzles go faster — the rooms are designed for 10. Everyone pays full price.
Do you have kid’s party packages?
No party room, no package. But the rooms are great for birthdays and there are restaurants steps away from our Chandler location. Book the room, escape together, grab food after. It works.
Is there an age minimum?
Kids 15 and under need a paying adult in the room with them. Kids 6 and under are free. Nothing is age-inappropriate unless we specifically note it.
Where do I park?
Free lot attached to the shopping center at 2820 S Alma School Rd #16, Chandler, AZ 85286. Never an issue finding a spot.
Will there be strangers in the room with us?
Never. Your booking is 100% private. It doesn’t matter if it’s two people or ten — the room is yours.
Are there any actors in the room that will jump out and scare me? (Asking for a friend, I’m totally not scared)
No actors, no jump scares. Anything that happens in the room is triggered by your group. The only thing that’ll get your heart racing is the clock.
What do I get if I win?
Honestly? Bragging rights. The founders of Exit 4 lost their first escape room and still haven’t gotten over it. That’s what’s at stake.
Can I use my phone and/or take pictures in the room?
Yes. Your stuff stays with you the whole time. Take pictures, post the win, document the loss — whatever you want.
